Christian Dior : Couturier Du Rêve
This summer the Musée des Arts Décoratifs celebrated the 70th anniversary of the creation of the house of Dior. The exhibition was nothing less than spellbinding. With a selection of over 300 haute couture gowns designed between 1947 and the present day this is the most wide ranging display to date of atelier toiles and fashion photographs, as well as hundreds of documents, including illustrations, sketches, letters, fashion accessories, perfume bottles and shoes. The display is a credit to coture as an art form, defining the house of Dior's enduring influence.
